AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Wednesday, received a letter from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, in which the army chief pledged to fulfill the royal orders of modernizing the army and restructuring its command.
In the letter, the army chief said he will work to modernize the army in terms of organization, training, armament and planning and boost the capabilities of the borders guards and other units of the armed forces.
He also said work will continue to keep the army personnel at the highest levels of performance and preparedness in order to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently. Freihat added that an executive program will be sent to his Majesty the King as soon as possible.
