State Security Court sentences to death Al-Baqaa Intelligence office attacker
AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court (SSC) on Thursday sentenced to death by hanging the terrorist who attacked a General Intelligence Department’s office in Al-Baqaa and killed five servicemen in June.
The court found the attacker, Mahmoud Masharfeh, guilty of committing terrorist acts that led to the death of a number of people, according to Attorney General Ziad Edwan.
The SCC also decided to sentence the second defendant, Sami Abu Omar, for one year imprisonment after amending and reducing his charge from the felony of selling weapons for illegal use to a misdemeanor of selling weapons.
