AMMONNEWS - The Daesh terrorist group has lost control of 25 to 30 percent of the territory it holds in Iraq after coalition air strikes, the United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) said on Monday.
Pentagon spokesman, Colonel Steve Warren, said that Daesh grip on parts of the country is fading, where it had a control over these areas since last August.
The lost territory amounts to some 13,000 to 17,000 square kilometers (5,000 to 6,500 square miles), Warren added.
'Daesh is now being slowly pushed back' the spokesman revealed.
