AMMONNEWS - As a part of a diverse program of cultural outreach, the U.S. Embassy will host the vocal a cappella and hip-hop group Urban Method for a series of concerts and workshops from March 9 – 14, 2015. The group will perform on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Amman’s Zara Expo Auditorium. Urban Method will also lead several workshops with musicians at Princess Basma Center, engage on an outreach performance at an UNRWA school, in addition to leading workshops at an orphanage in Ajloun, and a panel discussion at ZINC titled “Creative Art as Business and Intellectual Property.” Another public performance is scheduled for Zarqa.

Urban Method is a dynamic, all vocal hip-hop group from Denver, Colorado. The group is credited for creating a unique blend of A Cappella and Hip-Hop music known as “Rap-A-Pella.”
Boasting an eclectic group of studio musicians, Urban Method burst onto the scene during the fall of 2011 when they secured a spot on NBC’s nationally televised talent competition, The Sing-Off. As one of the 16 groups to appear on Season 3 of The Sing-Off, Urban Method pushed its way into the finals with their cutting-edge sound, hard hitting rhythm section, female leads, and a captivating rap artist. Although being credited as the innovators of “Hip-Hop-appella,” Urban Method thrills all ages with music spanning multiple genres from Country and R&B, to Pop and Rock.
Urban Method’s rthyms and high-energy will pull you in and convince you that all musical styles are possible through the human voice.
