PM urges citizens not to venture out until tomorrow morning
AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour urged citizens not to venture out until tomorrow morning due to the weather conditions and the expected freeze tonight across the Kingdom.
During a visit to the Civil Defence Department where he met with its director Lt. General Talal Al Kofahi, Ensour urged the concerned security agencies to take legal and administrative measures against drivers who go out, putting themselves and others at risk and hampering efforts of civil defense personnel.
He praised efforts of all agencies during the snow storm, including those of the civil defense who performed their duties in a professional manner.
Lt. General Al Kofahi said that since the start of the blizzard, the civil defense has dealt with two thousand and six hundred cases where individuals were stranded or needed assistance including tourists and pilgrims.
