AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, on Saturday, discussed with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, efforts underway to end the Israeli offensive against Gaza which claimed the lives and injured hundreds of innocent people.
The prime minister hailed France's historic support for the Palestinian cause and its support for finding a just solution to the conflict according to the two-state solution.
Ensour stressed Jordan's rejection of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, saying the Kingdom backs all effort aimed at achieving an immediate cease-fire in Gaza.
Fabius emphasized that his country believes that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict does not affect the region only, but it also impacts the whole world, stressing that the international community should help in finding solutions to this conflict.
He said Jordan is located in the 'heart of the hurricane', and its reception of large numbers of refugees will have an impact on the economic situation in the Kingdom. 'It is very important that Jordan remains stable and working to develop its economy,' the French minister added.
