AMMONNEWS - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein celebrates his 2oth birthday on Saturday.
Crown Prince Hussein was born on June 28, 1994. He is the eldest son of Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania.
A Royal Decree was issued on July 2, 2009 naming Prince Hussein as Crown Prince.
He has accompanied the King on several visits and tours of various governorates, along with official and military missions and functions at home and abroad.
As part of his youth empowerment efforts, Crown Prince Hussein has launched the 'Haqeq' (achieve) initiative, which involves hundreds of school students from all governorates in activities that instill a sense of volunteerism, democracy, teamwork and patriotism.
His Highness also launched the 'Qusai Initiative' to the readiness quotient of sports paramedics and those who treat any injured athletes, besides developing programs related to sports therapy.
The 'Qusai Initiative' focuses on the preventive measures and enhancing awareness among the sports therapists and athletes alike, and limit injuries due to any incidents on the field involving athletes.
The Crown Prince, who holds the rank of second lieutenant in the Jordan Armed Forces, completed his secondary education at King’s Academy in 2012.
He is now a student at Georgetown University in the US , majoring in political science.
The Crown Prince is interested in reading and sports. He has one brother, HRH Prince Hashim, and two sisters, Their Royal Highnesses Princess Iman and Princess Salma.
