Syrian embassy to open doors for Syrians in Jordan to cast their ballots
AMMONNEWS - The Syrian Embassy in Amman will open its doors to Syrians residing in Jordan to cast their ballots in the upcoming Syrian presidential elections, slated for May 28, an official source said on Thursday.
Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and Acting Government Spokesman, Khalid Kalaldeh, said that the Syrian embassy addressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs about its plan to invite Syrians in Jordan to take part in the Syrian elections. The minister added that the diplomatic norms allow embassies to organise electoral process for their communities, noting that recently, elections were organized by the Iraqi Embassy, and only today, polling was taking place at the Egyptian embassy.
