AMMONNEWS - A group of Jewish settlers on Sunday broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
Head of the Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in occupied Jerusalem, Ismail Khatib, told Petra that Rabbi Yisrael Ariel led the group of extremists and explained to them about the myth of the alleged 'Temple' under Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Khatib added that Israeli police arrested one of the mosque's courtyards students and continued its crackdown against Palestinians by holding their identity cards until they come out of the mosque.
Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed violent clashes on Friday against the occupation forces that stormed the mosque after Friday prayers, during which a number of Palestinians who expressed their rejection of the settlers' incursions of the mosque where wounded and arrested.
