Ensour meets with women representatives over nuclear project
(petra)- Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday said no decision has been taken regarding the establishment of a nuclear plant for generating electricity so far, adding that the government is still exchanging views with representatives of the various sectors to reach a decision in two years from now.
During a meeting with representatives of the women’s sector, the premier highlighted the country’s energy problem and the high cost of importing fuel.
Held at the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, the meeting was also attended by Minister Khaled Kaladeh and Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Khaled Toukan.
The attendees stressed the need for continued dialogue and the importance of observing transparency regarding Jordan’s nuclear programme
