AMMONNEWS - Wael Jaraisheh - King Abdullah II on Thursday issued a Royal Decree to restructure the Jordanian Senate, the upper house of parliament, under the Presidency of Ex-Prime Minister, Abed Alrauf Rawabdeh.
Accordance with Article 63 of the Jordanian Constitution, which stipulates that the number of Senate members should not exceed half the number of members of the Lower House of Parliament, the Council of Representatives.
This raises the number of Senators from 60 to 75, following the increase in number of representatives from 120 to 150.
