AMMAN (Petra) – Minister of Interior Hussein Al Majali on Monday reiterated his ministry's keenness to facilitate the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Kingdom, especially services being provided to the Syrian refugees.
The minister made the remarks as he received the head of the ICRC delegation in Jordan, Catherine Gendre. He vowed to help the international agency contact and visit the refugees to have a first-hand look at their needs in order to meet them.
The government, Majali said, was keen to improve the services being offered to the Syrian refugees in the fields of health, education and security, despite the economic hardships Jordan is facing.
Gendre valued Jordan's humanitarian role towards the Syrian refugees and for its cooperation with the ICRC.
