AMMAN (Petra) – Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met on Monday with a delegation of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute, LEMHANNAS, which works to educate the cadres and the national leaders, and find solutions to the problems and challenges facing Indonesia at the local, regional and international levels.
Ensour stressed the government's readiness to cooperate with the institute and exchange expertise about the strategy to deal with the challenges, adding that Jordan was keen to forge closer cooperation with Indonesia in various fields.
The prime minister reviewed the current situation in the Middle East, mainly the Syrian crisis and its impact on Jordan, noting that the economic challenges facing the Kingdom resulted from the turbulent situation in the Middle East.
'All the problems and challenges facing the region result from a failure to find a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue,' Ensour said, stressing the importance of the support provided by Indonesia on the Palestinian issue.
Members of the delegation voiced willingness to boost cooperation with Jordan and benefit from the Jordanian experience in dealing with various challenges.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Amin Mahmoud also met on Monday with Governor of the Indonesian National Defense Institute (Lemhannas) Budi Soepandji and the accompanying delegation.
