Abu Haasan said during a Senate parliamentary session on Thursday that the Ministry follows up and monitors the activities of charitable organizations and cooperative associations to ensure their abidance by regulations.
The Minister added during the session that there is no reason to apply the Illicit Fortunes law on cooperative and charitable organizations, noting that the priority ought to be to monitor and apply the law on non-profit organizations registered at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which 'gain large profits,' according to her expression.
