King attends Armed Forces celebration on national holidays
AMMAN (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Sunday attended mobilization exercises held by the Jordan Armed Forces to mark the national holidays.
Land and Air forces took part in the exercise, in which F-5 and F-16 jet fighters struck targets as part of the exercise. Also, a joint special operations team executed a pursuit of a convoy using Black Hawk and Little Bird helicopters.
Furthermore, a C130 transport plane provided logistical supplies for land units as F-16 fighter jets provided protection for the C 130.
All units showed a high level of skill and precision in hitting their targets, as well as the ability to conduct joint operations among all branches of the armed forces.
The celebration was attended by members of the Royal Family, the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Speakers of the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament, Chief of the Royal Court and other senior military and civilian officials.
