King receives mayor of Incheon and president of Olympic Council of Asia
AMMAN (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday met with Song Young-gil, Mayor of the Korean city of Iuncheon, and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia.
The meeting, which was attended by His Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of Jordan Football Association and Vice President of FIFA, touched upon bilateral cooperation ties, especially in the athletic and youth fields.
Young-gil briefed His Majesty on preparations to host the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, pointing out the available cooperation opportunities between Jordan and Korea in all athletic fields.
Also, he praised Jordan's relief efforts provided to the Syrian refugees, stressing the need to support the Kingdom's efforts, readiness for contribution and provide support for projects that serve the local communities affected by the consequences of hosting refugees.
The meeting was also attended by chief of the Royal Court Fayez Al Tarawneh and Director of His Majesty's Office Imad Fakhoury.
