Snow fall in southern governorates as kingdom affected by more cold conditions
AMMONNEWS - A moderate level of snow fall affected the southern governorates of Ma'an and Tafileh late Monday night and Tuesday morning, in part of a cold front affecting the kingdom.
On Tuesday, temperature is expected to reaching below their average this time of year.
Weather will be relatively cold and cloudy throughout the kingdom with the advance of a cold air mass causing scattered showers in the northern and central regions, while winds will be westerly moderate to brisk.
A slight in temperatures is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, therefore it will be cold, cloudy and rainy with thunder storms and hail. Snowfall is expected on hilly areas, especially the southern elevations (Al Shirah mountains) and elevated areas over 1200 m above sea level.
Foggy conditions are expected, hence citizens are urged to drive carefully on the roads.
Winds will be westerly brisk, blowing dust in the desert areas.
On Friday, there will be a slight rise in temperatures, but it will remain cold, cloudy and rainy with scattered showers, while winds will be westerly moderate to brisk changing to southwesterly in the afternoon hours.
Temperatures in Amman for the coming three days are expected to reach a high of 11 degrees Celsius dropping down to 4 degrees Celsius.
