Amman, (Petra)--An official source at the General Command of the Armed Forces stated that the Israeli Combat Engineering Corps will conduct an operation to de-mine and detonate an anti-tank minefield along the border region, opposite to Ryahneh / Mshare' area.
Describing the process as a 'routine activity', the source added that the de-mining procedure, which includes detonating 88 mines, will start Tuesday at 8:00 am and end Thursday at 6:30 pm.
'Jordan asked Israel to use the agreed-upon quantities of explosives when removing land mines along the border to preserve the safety of residents in the surrounding areas' the source added.
