Jordan's stability key to regional stability: Kuwaiti minister
Kuwait, (Petra) Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said Friday that Jordan's stability and prosperity are key to Arab World's stability and prosperity.
This vision, he added, makes Kuwait interested in the endurance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) grant to the Kingdom to enhance stability in the Arab World.
The Kuwaiti official told Petra that his country and other GCC states are keen on the prosperity of Jordanian people.
Addressing parliamentary elections, which will be held in Kuwait tomorrow, the minister said the atmosphere is 'positive'. The government, he added, has made all preparations for Saturday polls.
Answering a question about the decision of some Kuwaitis to boycott elections, Sheikh Mohammed said boycotting elections is guaranteed by the law, affirming that those who boycott the elections will be the 'biggest losers'.
Director General of Jordan News Agency (Petra) Faisal Shboul, who is in Kuwait to follow up on the elections, hailed the Kuwaiti media authority's preparations for national event, as well as facilitation presented for reporters and media persons.
