MAFRAQ (Petra)--A total of 301 Syrian refugees crossed into the Kingdom yesterday due to the continued violence in their country, raising the number of refugees in the Zaatari camp to 45,038,' media spokesperson on Syrian refugee camp affairs Anmar Hmoud said.
He added that the number of Syrian refugees in the Kingdom stands at 230,000, noting that the government took all necessary measures to provide them with much needed humanitarian aid.
Hmoud urged all Arab and international organizations to provide aid to the Kingdom to enable it to continue its services to the refugees.
According to the spokesperson, some of the 2,500 caravans donated by the Saudi Arabia will be delivered today to the camp , located in the outskirts of the border city of Mafraq, 80km northeast of Amman.
He said that 152 refugees returned to Syria yesterday upon their request.
