Syrian security forces take control of Nassib crossing after riots

08-01-2025 08:47 AM

Ammon News - Syrian security forces imposed their control over the Nassib border crossing with Jordan, after protesters closed the entrance to the crossing using burning tires and stones.

The protests came in objection to the decision of the Syrian General Customs Administration to restrict the entry of irregular vehicles into the crossing and expel irregular brokers working inside it.

Syrian media sources reported that security forces were able to control the situation and reopen the road, while efforts continue to ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
