Ammon News - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, CEO of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (CARC), Captain Haitham Misto, confirmed that there is an intention to return air traffic to Syria soon, but the matter is linked to developments and the airport's readiness to receive flights.

Misto told Al-Mamlaka that the return of air traffic to Damascus is also linked to the safety of Syrian airspace, and that the return of air traffic to Syria will come after ensuring all technical and logistical matters.

These standard requirements apply to all airports and airspaces to which international flights operate, Misto confirmed.
