Normal summer conditions continue through Wednesday

Ammon News - The weather across most regions of the Kingdom is anticipated to be a typical summer day, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience hot temperatures, meteorologists said in their forecast for Sunday and Monday.

In its daily brief, the Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) warns of the danger of direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours, especially in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, a slight drop in mercury levels is expected, ushering in a return to normal summer conditions over mountainous areas and plains until Wednesday. Meanwhile, other regions will persist to see hot weather.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 29 and 34 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 21C or even 16C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 42C and lows of 27C.
