Jordan records 1087 cyber incidents in H1 2023

Ammon News - Jordan has experienced a staggering surge in cyber incidents during the first half of 2023, with reported cases reaching 1087. Comparatively, during the same period in 2022, there were 544 incidents, indicating an escalation of 99.8%.

In a report released on Wednesday, the National Cyber Security Center indicated that the incidents have been classified into four risk categories: "highly critical" with 17 cases, "high risk" with 235 cases, "medium risk" with 730 cases, and "low risk" with 105 cases.

The surge in cyber incidents brings to light the mounting threats and challenges that organizations and individuals face in the digital landscape.
