Jordan confirms support for Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood in ICJ

Ammon News - In its written pleading submitted to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Jordan affirmed its support of the Palestinians' right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent and sovereign state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.

In its pleading, the Kingdom stressed the need for Israel to respect the historical and legal status quo in occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities, for which Jordan has a responsibility.
