Ammon News - Prime Minister, Dr. Bishr Khasawneh, said that the government held interactive sessions with more than 100 male and female students from various parts of the Kingdom; To talk about the political track.

During his dialogue with Jordanian youth at Yarmouk University, Khasawneh added that he sensed apprehension regarding partisan organization due to prohibitions that existed in the past.

He pointed out that His Majesty King Abdullah II ensured that the outputs of the royal committee would be adopted by his government, whether on partisan work, constitutional amendments, or support for women and youth.

He indicated that the parliamentary election law establishes that it will start from 3 parliamentary sessions starting from the next parliamentary session, as the elections are supposed to be held 4 months before the end of the term of the existing parliament, as the elections will be held between (July 16 - November 16) 2024.

He noted that the number of parties that have corrected their situation is 27, adding that "this number will decrease until the parliamentary elections. In my personal opinion, we will see a merger or coalition between many parties."

The engine of change in Jordanian society is the youth, stressing the existence of guarantees that protect the practice of youth in party work, he added.

Continuing his speech, the Prime Minister said that the percentage in the upcoming elections "should not be less than %50 ", after it was nearly %30 in the past.

The meeting comes within the series of youth dialogues launched by the government last month, as this is the 3rd meeting.

The meeting includes speakers from the government, and representatives from official and civil institutions and the private sector, while the attendees include students from the official and private universities of the Northern Region, and representatives from active youth initiatives.
