Ammon News - Meteorological experts predict a minor decrease in temperatures across Jordan on Monday, accompanied by persistently hot weather over mountainous regions and plains. However, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience scorching temperatures.

In light of the weather conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) issued a cautionary advisory, urging citizens to avoid direct exposure to the sun during peak hours in most areas. Additionally, parents are strongly advised against leaving children unattended inside closed vehicles. Moreover, citizens should refrain from storing sanitizers, perfumes, and flammable materials inside their cars to mitigate any potential risks.

On Tuesday, meteorologists foresee a slight relief from the sweltering heat as the impact of the hot air mass begins to subside. This will result in a slight dip in temperatures, rendering the weather relatively warm over high mountainous areas and hot in other regions.

Temperatures are expected to rise once again on Wednesday, with hot conditions returning over mountainous areas and plains. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba are likely to witness extremely high temperatures during this period.

Thursday's weather forecast indicates a continuation of the prevailing hot conditions in mountainous areas and plains. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience exceptionally hot weather, making it crucial for residents and visitors to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to safeguard against heat-related risks.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 37 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 24 or even 22 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 43C and lows of 28C.
