Hot temperatures to prevail on Sunday

Ammon News - The Kingdom is set to remain Saturday, under the effect of a hot and dry spell, as the weather will be hot almost countrywide and sweltering in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, Jordan Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

According to its daily report, the JMD warns of the danger of direct exposure to sunlight at peak times almost countrywide.

In this regard, the department said children shouldn't be left without attention inside closed cars, adding that sterilizers, perfumes, and flammable materials should be kept away from vehicles.

As for Sunday and Monday, the weather will remain hot in most regions and sizzling in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

On Tuesday, a slight drop in temperatures is forecast, as the weather will substantially remain unchanged.

Today, mercury in the capital Amman will hit 37 degrees Celsius, dropping to 22C, while the southern port city of Aqaba will see a sweltering 43C, sliding to 29C at night.
