Slight drop, mild summer weather for weekend

Ammon News - The weather in Amman on Thursday is expected to remain close to the seasonal average, with mild temperatures prevailing in the mountainous regions and plains, while hotter temperatures are anticipated in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be of moderate speed, originating from the northwest and occasionally picking up.
According to the latest weather forecast by the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the coming days will maintain a mild climate in the mountainous areas and plains on both Friday and Saturday, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience hot weather conditions. Winds will retain their moderate speed, blowing from the northwest and intermittently intensifying.
As we approach Sunday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, bringing in typical summery conditions in the mountainous areas and plains. During this period, the Badia region, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will encounter hotter weather.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 32 and 30 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 20 or even 18 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 25C.
