Ammon News - The weather in Jordan on Monday is expected to be typical for this time of year, with temperatures in line with their seasonal averages. The highlands and plains will experience normal summery weather, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see sweltering conditions, forecasters said.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) stated that winds will be moderate in speed, blowing from the northwest and occasionally picking up.
Over the next couple of days, a slight increase in mercury levels is forecast, bringing relatively hot weather to the mountainous areas and plains, while scorching conditions will persist in other regions, with northwesterly moderate to active winds, stirring up at times, the JMD added.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 19 or even 16 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 27C.
