Toward Wednesday, mercury levels will rise a few degrees, bringing relatively hot conditions to most regions, except in the high mountainous areas where it will persist fair, the forecasters predicted. Today's peak temperatures will be between 31 and 26 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 18 or even 15 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have warmer weather, with highs of 39C and lows of 25C.
