JSF paper provides insight to support Jordan's digital transformation

Ammon News - The Jordan Strategy Forum (JSF) recommended, in its paper entitled: "Jordan's Position in 2022 Global Skills Report", the concerned parties to pay the necessary attention to the technology and data science fields to support goals of the Kingdom's digital transformation.

The paper, which aimed to highlight Jordan's position in the report issued by Coursera, a leading online-learning platform, indicated that learners in Jordan need to improve their competitive skills in databases, computer networks, network development, programming, and cloud computing and software engineering.

The JSF called on Jordanian learners to improve their skills in data science by developing their proficiency in machine learning, statistical programming, and data presentation, management, and analysis.

On the importance of automation and digital technologies, the forum said focus on this data aspect has multiple advantages, foremost is increasing productivity levels and raising service quality.

The forum said 2022 Global Skills Report showed a drop in the level of skill proficiency in Jordan by about 8 positions, compared to 2021, as the Kingdom was placed 102th globally and 13th at the level of Arab countries in 2022.
