Ammon News - Senate President, Faisal Fayez, said societal peace provides security and stability at the national level, adding that "the strong law-based state makes citizens enjoy security and stability, in which law is implemented on all with justice and transparency with no room to infringe state's prestige."

Speaking during the launching ceremony of 2nd phase of the first national conference of "Rule of Law for Community Peace" Project, Fayez said the issue of community peace is "not a luxurious matter," referring to its utmost importance to protect people's rights and principles of the rule of law.

The conference, which is organized by Arab World Center for Democratic Development ( UNIHRD ), is held in partnership with Street Law, a global, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, with participation of 40 activists from all the Kingdom's governorates.

The six-day event dedicates an academic day to present working papers to highlight themes of the sixth Royal Discussion Paper, dubbed: "Rule of Law is Basis of Civil State."

During the event, youth activists will be trained on leadership and innovation, aimed to deepen active engagement in public affairs. Activists will also be trained on their own initiatives, in cooperation with executive authorities in the governorates to contribute to maintaining community peace based on the rule of law and its concepts.
