UK announces 'temporary' monkeypox vaccine shortage

Ammon News - The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Monday reported that the UK is experiencing a "temporary" shortage of the monkeypox vaccine amidst a slowdown in the outbreak of the disease.

The UKHSA stated that 50,000 doses of the vaccine, the maximum amount currently available to clinics across the country, would be allocated by the end of next week.

It added that it had ordered 100,000 additional doses; nevertheless, they would not be available until next month.
