The event, which was held in cooperation with Regional Support to Reinforce Human rights, Rule of Law and Democracy in the Southern Mediterranean Program (South Programme IV), aims to combat terrorism and extremism in the southern Mediterranean region. In addition, the event aimed to support regional efforts to counter and prevent extremism and lay the foundations for a regional training program in combating terrorism for legal professionals in human rights fields, run by Council of Europe.
