Amman chamber’s exports stand at JD740mln in 2021-statistics

Ammon News - The value of exports of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) went down by by 11.4% during 2021, compared with 2020, ACC figures showed on Saturday.

The value of certificates of origin issued by the ACC in 2021 to export goods totalled JD740 million compared with JD836 million in 2020, according to ACC's statistical data.

Moreover, the number of certificates of origin issued by the ACC during the past year amounted to 35,881, compared to 30,640 during 2020, an increase of 17%, the chamber said.

The ACC's certificates of origin during the past year went to many countries, most notably for shipments to Saudi Arabia with 9,384, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 4,933, then Oman with 2,332, Iraq with 1,504, and Egypt with 1,135, the ACC noted.

The ACC's exports to Iraq which accounted for about JD206 million, then Saudi Arabia with a value of JD73 million, Egypt at JD70 million, the United Arab Emirates at JD57 million, then Oman at JD48 million, the chamber announced.

With regard to re-exports of foreign products, the chamber said they amounted to JD373 million, agricultural and industrial exports stood at JD152 million and JD138 million, respectively, then Arab products at about JD35 million, and the rest went for many other different products.
