Ammon News - Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to significantly drop, becoming around its annual average and bringing cold and partly cloudy weather conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, with a chance for scattered showers in the western region, the Jordan Meteorology Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

The weather department warned of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, low-visibility during rainfall due to dust formation in badia areas and fog formation in mountainous areas.

Similar weather conditions will persist on Thursday, while Friday will see another drop in mercury levels, with rainfall in the northern and central parts of the country and westerly moderate to brisk winds.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across Jordan today will range between 14 and 13 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 6C or even 4C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury reaching a high of 24C and a low of 13C.
