Warm weather forecast for three days

Ammon News - Temperatures on Sunday are expected to rise, becoming 6-8 degrees above annual average, so it will be warm in most parts of the Kingdom, with southeasterly to southwesterly light winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

On Monday, similar weather conditions will continue to persist nationwide, with southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD added.

As we head into Tuesday, a further increase in mercury levels is expected, bringing relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will remain warm in other regions.

Toward night, clouds will gradually build up at various altitudes, making partly cloudy skies in the northern and central highlands, with a chance of light showers in the late night hours over some parts of the northern region. Winds will be westerly active blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD noted.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom Sunday will range between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 14C or even 11C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury reaching a high of 29C and a low of 18C.
