Under royal directives, RHC Chief meets Northern Jordan Valley leading figures, representatives

Under directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) Chief Yousef Issawi, on Tuesday met with leading figures and representatives from the Northern Jordan Valley District.

The meeting, attended by Adviser to His Majesty for Tribal Affairs Atef Hajaya, was held to follow up on requests and proposals that were presented during His Majesty's visit to the district on Sunday, and to identify any other demands, ideas and proposals for the district's residents.

The district's residents demands and proposals, which were presented to His Majesty, focused on developing the agricultural sector and benefiting from the district's comparative advantage, especially qualitative agriculture with high added value, in addition to challenges and proposals related to service sectors such as education, health and infrastructure, in addition to demands of women and youth sectors, which constitute key sectors at the level of the district and the Kingdom in general.

Issawi, who is also head of the follow up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, said His Majesty the King, during his meeting with the district's residents, underlined the necessity of communicating and coordinating with all attendees to follow up and study their demands, and coordinate and cooperate with the government and the Jordan Armed Forces to study all requests and proposals and follow up and implement what is possible according to the capabilities and according to priorities and in line with the government’s plans and future programs.

Issawi indicated that the RHC will study the requests, proposals and ideas related to production and operational projects, which focus on providing jobs for the district's residents.

He added that a number of royal initiatives will be implemented in the various regions of the district based on royal directives, in continuation of previous royal initiatives implemented by the RHC in past years in the Northern Jordan Valley District and in various sectors.

Issawi welcomed any ideas and proposals for well-studied production or development projects, to be funded through royal initiatives, as the district's residents have submitted a set of requests and proposed projects aimed at improving services in the district and improving the standard of living of citizens.

Attendees expressed their thanks and appreciation for Majesty's efforts, stressing the importance of the royal visit to the district, and His Majesty's directives to the RHC chief to communicate with attendees at the RHC to follow up on demands and needs of the district's residents, and to coordinate with competent authorities to identify implementation mechanisms.
