Labor Minister meets Egyptian envoy

Labor Minister Nayef Steitieh on Monday stressed the ministry's keenness to keep communication channels open to overcome any obstacles that Egyptian workers may face in Jordan in accordance with frameworks and laws regulating them.

During a meeting with Egypt Ambassador to Jordan, Sherif Kamel, Steitieh lauded the distinguished historical ties between Jordan and Egypt thanks to the wisdom of the leadership of the two countries, which preserves the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples in various circumstances.

The minister also praised Ambassador Kamel's efforts, which he presented to his country during his service as Egypt's ambassador to the Kingdom, wishing him success and progress in his work in the country to which he will move to work as an ambassador later.

For his part, Ambassador Kamel commended the continuous cooperation and coordination between the two sides regarding the various demands of Egyptian labor in Jordan, in line with the directives of the leaderships of the two countries to enhance cooperation between them in various fields.

He added essed that Egyptian workers who are committed to the regulations and instructions in Jordan receive facilities and cooperation from the ministry, lauding the period of legalization and reconciling conditions implemented by the ministry and Egyptian workers leveraged.

Concluding the meeting, Kamel expressed his pride in his tenure as ambassador to Egypt, stressing that what serves Jordan's interests serves Egypt's interests at the same time.
