Egyptian Culture Minister visits Al-Salt

Ammon News - Egyptian Minister of Culture, Enas Abdel Dayem, and her accompanying delegation on Wednesday visited the city of Al-Salt, north west Amman, on the occasion of including the city on the UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Abdel Dayem, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Hazza Al-Barari, toured the tourist trail that includes Al-Ain Square, Al-Hamam Street, Al-Salt Historical Museum and the Aqaba Square project.

Abdel Dayem was briefed from President of the Salt Municipal Committee, Ali Batania, on the Aqba Square project, which constitute a key project for the development of downtown Salt.

Abdel-Dayem, accompanied by a number of officials and representatives in the city, also visited Al-Salt Secondary School, as the first school in Jordan with a historical and cultural heritage and has contributed to the graduation of Jordanian state men since its establishment.

The Egyptian Minister commended Al-Salt's originality heritage and expressed her admiration for the projects under implementation its heritage center, congratulating the people of Al-Salt on the occasion of its inclusion on the World Heritage List.
