2 Agriculture Ministry employees imprisoned for embezzlement

Ammon News - The Amman Criminal Court Tuesday convicted two Ministry of Agriculture employees on embezzlement charges, and sentenced them to five years in prison each, with temporary hard labour, and ordered them to repay 365,128 dinars in embezzled amounts.

In a public session, the court found the defendants guilty on 24 counts of embezzlement after the charges were proven by the General Prosecution in the case, which is subject to appeal at the competent court.

A third defendant in the case, the wife of one of the two men who was charged with concealing the embezzled amounts, was acquitted.
