Judicial Council designates departments to handle corruption cases

Ammon News - The Jordanian Judicial Council on Sunday designated independent departments in one of the buildings affiliated with the Ministry of Justice to handle corruption cases, increased the number of corruption-specialised judicial bodies from two to three, and allocated three public prosecutors to handle these cases.

During June and July, Judicial bodies have been able to adjudicate and issue judgments in 11 cases, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Secretary-General of the Judicial Council Judge Walid Kanakriya said that the newly provided departments in Shmeisani contain courtrooms and offices, in addition to administrative support cadres dedicated solely to following up on those cases.
