Ammon News - The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCI) and the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance economic cooperation between their private sector institutions.

The memo, which was sealed virtually by JCI President Nael Kabariti and his Zambian counterpart Chabuka Kawesha, in the attendance of Zambian Honorary Consul in Jordan, Yousef Alazizi, will lay "a practical" framework to increase the volume of bilateral trade and promote investments and joint ventures.

Under the agreement, the chambers will act as a liaison between business owners on both sides, provide the necessary assistance to institutions, companies and business owners, exchange visits by trade delegations and organize participation in international and national exhibitions held in Jordan or Zambia.

Kabariti pointed out that the MoU will enable the two countries to upgrade economic and trade relations, stressing the need to exchange data, expertise and know-how to serve common interests and overcome challenges posed by the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic, and reactivate bilateral agreements.
