Ammon News - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, affirmed the government's keenness to introduce fifth generation (5G) mobile services into the Kingdom.

In his interview with "Petra" on Saturday, Hanandeh said the Cabinet has formed a committee to speak with telecom companies to introduce and invest in the 5G wireless technology, which is a leverage for business development and supports economic sectors.

On the benefits to Jordan by introducing the 5G technology, he said it helps achieve digital transformation in all the Kingdom's sectors.

Studies, he said, have shown that the spread of the Internet is accompanied by an increase in economic growth and gross domestic product, job creation, and new startups.
