Ammon News - Deputy Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Nabil Khatib and Ambassador of Angola to Jordan Nelson Manuel Cosme Monday held a meeting in Amman to explore economic cooperation.
Khatib said finding practical tools to bolster investment and economic cooperation between the two countries is "vital." He highlighted that the most important factor in improving intertrade is having a strong logistics and shipping system.
He emphasized the important role of commerce chambers, saying that communication should be through the countries' respective commerce chambers. He said they would function as a means of familiarizing businessmen about potential investment opportunities.
For his part, Cosme said Angola is keen on establishing "active" economic ties with the Kingdom, noting that Jordan offers a multitude of industries that are of interest to Angola, chief of which are cement, chemicals and drugs. He also said Jordan might be interested in Angola's gas and crude oil.
