Zain Jordan plans to invest JD223 million in 2021

Ammon News - Zain Jordan has announced plans to invest JD223 million in 2021 for further expansion and business developments, a top company official told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Monday.

Tareq Bitar, Zain's Corporate Communications Manager, said the firm paid JD114.4 million in fees and taxes in 2020, bringing the total that the company has channeled to the state's treasury since its inception to JD2.6 billion.

In an interview with Petra, Bitar indicated that the company will continue to provide integrated digital services focusing on individual and corporate clients, indicating that the telecom operator it will ramp up investment in cloud services and solutions.

On the introduction of the 5G technology, Bitar revealed that the company is currently in talks with the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission to obtain 5G frequencies.
