Labor Minister, Kuwaiti envoy discuss ties

Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Maen Qatamin lauded as "deep-rooted" the ties between Jordan and Kuwait "thanks to the wisdom of both countries' leaderships."

Qatamin gave his remarks in a meeting with Kuwait Ambassador to Jordan Aziz Daihani on Monday.

Qatamin and Dihani discussed ways to strengthen and build on the historic relations between the two countries in various fields.

The minister affirmed that the government, under royal directives, is concerned with attracting Arab and foreign investments, improving the investment climate in the Kingdom and enabling the private sector to operate, adding that the Kuwaiti investments are at the forefront of Arab investments in the Kingdom.

He underlined the need to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries and increase Kuwaiti investments in Jordan, as well as holding meetings with Kuwaiti investors and listening to them to overcome any obstacles they face.

Qatamin also discussed enhancing cooperation frameworks regarding Kuwait’s reception of Jordanian workers, pointing out that Jordan is full of competencies in various sectors, and Kuwait is a preferred markets or Jordanians to work in.

For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador commended ties with Jordan, and expressed his country's keenness to develop and consolidate them.

He stressed the importance of bolstering ties between the two countries in various fields, in order to raise the level of cooperation and achieve common aspirations and visions of the leaderships of the two countries.
