The completion ceremony of the electrification of schools of Al-Azraq Camp took place on 11 February, celebrating the electrification of 60 schools, with 34,000 students from Azraq and Zaatari, in the presence of high-level representatives of the European Union in Jordan, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Jordan and the Jordanian Government.

In close coordination with UNICEF, the EU supports the Jordan government in its commitment to the provision of certified education in Jordan for all children, in particular Syrian and other non-Jordanian children to register in public schools. By adopting strategies, education policies and developing the "The Accelerated Access Initiative (AAI) for the Jordan Compact Education Fund", it reinforces Jordan’s commitment to 'Leaving No One Behind' and aims at preventing a 'lost generation' of Syrian children.
