Ammon News - Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtayeh, urged the international community Monday to bring an end to the Israeli extremist settler assaults against Palestinians.

Ishtayeh told his Cabinet in Ramallah that Israel welcomes the U.S. President-elect Joe Biden with an illegal decision to build more than 760 settler units, in an attempt to take full advantage of the outgoing Donald Trump Administration.

He voiced hope that the new U.S. administration will do its best to end the violence against citizens in the occupied Palestinian territories especially Jerusalem and its environs.

He emphasized that the world must assume its responsibilities and protect the two-state solution, which has gained international consensus.

The attack that took place in Nablus Sunday, in which an 11-year-old girl was attacked by a mob of Israeli settlers, is a recurrent situation in the Palestinian territories.
